Description
I can’t honestly say that I’ve seen a prettier version of this much sought after WW1 period Rolex Officers trench watch.
It is correctly 1915 Birmingham (UK) hallmarked and triple Rolex signed. Made in the heavier and slightly larger Dennison case. (Our stock ref # A234)
This particular watch boasts a quite gorgeous restored Silver dial with orange military hour markers and hands with a sub-second dial at 6 o’clock.
By the year 1915 the “Trench Watch” was the height of fashion within the serving British Military and the more wealthy public alike.
Its no coincidence that a small majority of these watches were produced during this year and due to both the high demand and transportation issues, Rolex commissioned Dennison in the UK to case their watches for a short period.
This watch was part of a former private collection and we supplied it to its previous owner some years ago.
Screw back Dennison case, movement is correctly Rolex signed. Condition is absolutely first class with no dents, dings or damage.
Size is approx 35mm diameter and 38mm wide including the crown.
This watch is newly cleaned and lightly polished and is ready to wear.
It comes with a three months all parts and labour warranty, insurance valuation certificate and guarantee of authenticity.
Lesser versions of this magnificent and historical timepiece can be found in specialist London shops for more than two or even three times my asking price.
A fabulous watch that is a proven and solid investment for its owner.
