People often ask why Swiss watches were UK hallmarked. This is because UK law states that all gold sold within the UK must be assayed before sale.
Rolex would not allow anyone to fit their movement into their watches, so the cases were shipped by boat and train to one of our main assay offices in the UK, in this case, London.
The case would then be sent all the way back to Switzerland so that the movement could be fitted, and then sent back once more to the UK to their retailer.
Rolex did not supply straps back in the day, and the retailer would fit a leather or similar strap of his customers choice from his own stock.
3 months all parts and labour warranty, seven day money back guarantee and authenticity, warranty and insurance paperwork.
